What is online personal training?
Online personal training is when a trainer designs a custom workout program for the client to do on his or her own. The relationship goes beyond just program design, as it includes guidance, feedback, and accountability all delivered remotely.
How does online personal training work?
When I work with an online personal training client, I begin with an assessment and consult so I can make a truly customized program. From there, I input the program into the Train Heroic app, which my clients love. They track their workouts, and I see every workout they do. I answer questions and respond to feedback, and we continue to fine tune until we see the results we are working for.
What are the benefits of online personal training?
There are many benefits to online personal training, including:
- a professionally designed program that is more budget friendly than an in-person personal trainer
- in the case of Alexander Training, a great app that stores all your specific exercise data
- No need to schedule sessions, as you can train anytime you’d like
- results!
Is online personal training effective?
Yes! Online personal training gives you the plan and support you need to reach your goals. You know how to work hard, and online training helps you work smart, with a professional trainer on your team.
How much does it cost?
Online personal training varies widely but is typically $200 – $500 monthly.
How do I see my workouts?
I deliver my clients workouts through a training app called Train Heroic. My clients love it! I input your customized program, which includes exercises, sets, reps, weight, and instructional videos and text. Some trainers use other software or spreadsheets, and trust me, I’ve done it all! But my clients love Train Heroic, and it works for us!
How do I find a good personal trainer?
Search and ask questions! Be as specific as you can when you begin searching for a coach. Searching “female personal trainer” and “online strength and conditioning coach” will give you very different results. Get specific about what you want! From there, look at trainer’s web site and social media to be sure you like his or her style. Ask your friends if they have worked with someone they recommend. Request a consult before you pay, and make sure the coach offers the level of customization that you are looking for.
